Portrait illustration: Fuchsia
Based on my studies on Colours, and inspired by the book "The Designer's Dictionary of Color" by Sean Adams, I decided to explore the concepts and characteristics of each colour and illustrate a stylised portrait in which the colour palette is composed mainly of the entitled colour
Goal: to explore the characteristics of the colour and play with the idea and feel it gives.
To break the monotony I chose one complementary colour (or close related) and a few variations in the tones, part of my choice of style
Colour Characteristics:
it’s a highly saturated colour close to magenta, and it communicates rebellion in a sense, not femininity as pink.
it’s also risky as it evokes strong emotions: positively it stands out, negatively it can be annoying
Other Names: magenta, rhodamine red, hot pink, flame
