Run Now Surreal Fantasy Illustration Composition
I initiated this personal project from a mix of ideas. I’ve been drawing the anthropomorphic character (this cat) for a while in my sketchbook (and some digital tests too). She’s evolved naturally on each attempt, until finally I decided to turn her into a warrior.
In the composition, I combined the character’s confident and determined pose holding a big axe whose design is inspired by the Japanese axe from the Muromachi period, 14th Century AD. The landscape is from my imagination, a combination of elements I’ve also been drawing in my sketchbooks

This composition was made in a landscape orientation with a cover in mind. This can be a concept of a story such as a graphic novel or simply a notebook cover.
With an inspiration from the great ink masters from the Golden Age period, I had some ideas for a decorated page in its interior, which I might develop soon and turn it into a fully designed product
